Always dedicated to helping others in any situation, joining the insurance industry was a natural progression for Chris. After leaving his career supporting GM, through the management of call centers and field organizations responsible for contracting, risk management, client relationship management, and profitability, Chris started Eastern Insuring Agency in 2017. Later that year, he grew the business by purchasing Norton Insuring Agency located in Plattsburgh, New York.
In 2018 Chris continued to organize and grow the agency by purchasing his mother’s successful and well-established insurance agency, LaBarge Agency. Chris built on many opportunities to expand insurance services in the area, utilizing his proven high-level, personal touch service commitment to the people and organizations of the North Country. With extensive business risk assessment experience, excellent client relationship know-how, entrepreneurial success, and local knowledge of the North Country, Chris offers a unique perspective on service offerings through Eastern Insuring Agency and the LaBarge Agency.
Chris’s passion in insurance? Helping business clients evaluate their risk tolerance to avoid being “insurance poor.” Being a successful entrepreneur brings responsibilities that all business owners face, especially regarding their employees and the community that supports them. Making sure that in the face of an unfortunate event, his business clients can get back up and running quickly for their families, employees who rely on them for jobs, and the community that depends on the needed products and/or services, is all too real and meaningful to Chris. Chris’s motto: “I am here to help people protect all things that matter!”
When not at work, you will see Chris working in the community to better the trail systems of Franklin County, driven by his passion for snowmobiling and ATV/UTV riding. As always, Chris’s desire to help and keep people safe while enjoying time outdoors translates to 100’s of hours of volunteer work clearing trails, grooming them in the winter, and working with snowmobile clubs to secure additional funding and donations. In addition, Chris is working to gain municipal and landowner approvals for the Adirondack Frontier Recreational Trail from Lake Clear Junction to the St. Regis Mohawk Casino. The Adirondack Frontier Recreational Trail is a multi-use all-season trail that connects our Northern Franklin County communities to the new Adirondack Rail Trail from Tupper Lake to Lake Placid. Success in executing this multi-use trail will connect Franklin County communities and businesses.
